About

We make calm, low-impact movement tools that are meant to be left out, not hidden away.

Most fitness gear ends up under the bed. We started Zenfit with a stubbornly simple goal: make one thing you'd actually keep in your living room — and use because it's right there.

Why a balance block

Balance is something most of us quietly stop training as adults. We wanted a way to practice it that felt slow and deliberate rather than punishing — closer to tai chi than to a workout. So we designed a rounded cork rocker that's low and wide: stable enough to start on, but alive enough that your feet, legs, and core keep making small adjustments. Off the floor, its two halves stack into something that looks like an object, not equipment.

Proven before it was polished

Before this store existed, we put the Tai Chi Balance Block on Kickstarter. 429 backers funded it at 627% of goal. That told us the need was real. (That's crowdfunding support from real buyers, not a clinical or medical claim.)

What we care about

  • Made to be seen. Natural cork, warm and quiet underfoot, shaped to earn a spot on a shelf.
  • Honest about what it is. There's a short learning curve — most people wobble the first few days. It's a balance practice, not a cardio machine.
  • Slow over hype. For people moving from “burn the most calories today” toward “something I can still do at fifty.”
